In-depth safety analysis
This extension requests only two permissions: downloads and storage. That lets it save subtitle files to your device and store a small amount of settings locally. It has no permission to read or change data on any website, including YouTube, which is unusually restrained for a subtitle downloader. The scope is minimal and far below what many tools in this category ask for.
Subtitle and video download helpers often request access to a streaming site’s pages, which can theoretically be misused or abused if the extension changes owners. Here, the lack of host permissions reduces that surface significantly. As with any extension, a careful user should prefer tools that request only what they genuinely need, even if the declared privacy practices rely on the developer’s own statements.
The strongest dimension in the fact sheet is Permissions && Access, scoring 90/100, reflecting this very limited permission set. The weakest is Publisher && Identityat60/100, because the extension comes from an individual developer with no clear public track record. A prudent user would read recent reviews for any emerging concerns and keep the extension updated, but the narrow permissions already limit what it can do.
